PHEN-FEN, HERBAL PHEN-FEN and L-TRYPTOPHAN EXCLUSION
This endorsement modifies insurance provided under the following:
COMMERCIAL GENERAL LIABILITY COVERAGE PART
This insurance does not apply to any liability for "property damage," "personal injury," "advertising
injury," "bodily injury," sickness, disease, occupational disease, disability, shock, death, mental
anguish and/or mental injury arising out of any "Phen-Fen" "Herbal Phen-Fen" or "L-Tryptophan"
manufactured, produced, sold, handled, developed, researched, tested, financed or distributed by
or on behalf of any insured.
"Phen-Fen" means the following products, whether distributed, dispensed, sold or prescribed
individually or in combination with each other: "Phentermine" and "Fenfluramine" and any
analogues, homologues, and derivatives thereof in the marketplace of weight-control, appetitesuppressant, weight-loss, and diet-control products.
"Phentermine" means phentermine hydrochloride, chemically known as dimethylphenethylamine
hydrochloride (phenyl-tertiary-butylamine-hydrochloride).
"Fenfluramine" means dexfenfluramine and/or fenfluramine hydrochloride.
"Herbal Phen-Fen" means any product, whether manufactured from raw natural materials or from
synthetic materials, that is advertised, marketed, distributed, dispensed, sold, or prescribed as
mimicking, copying, mirroring, reproducing and/or imitating the effects of Phen-Fen, as defined
above, and which contains a combination of Ephedra (commonly known as Ma Huang) with
Caffeine or Hypericium Perforatum (commonly known as St. John’s Wort) or any analogues,
homologues, or derivatives thereof.
"L-Tryptophan" means an amino acid that is the precursor to 5-HTP (5-Hydroxy L-Tryptophan)
and/or serotonin (5-Hydroxy typtamine) whether extracted from Griffonia or other natural raw
materials or produced synthetically.
All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
