THE PATIENT INFORMATION CHALLENGE
Many hospitals and medical clinics suffer from inefficient patient record and documents
handling. It’s difficult to avoid using outdated manual processes for parts of the process, as
public and private clinical organizations often have unique processes or compliance needs.
The quality of patient care can be significantly impacted when it takes hours to retrieve
necessary files from across multiple storage locations and specialized departmental
applications. The entire process needs to be streamlined for efficiency and error reduction.
COMPLETELY PAPERLESS SOLUTION
Lutech’s wHospital or “Wireless Hospital” is a web-based framework for complete
management of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) from wireless terminals and tablet PCs.
With wHospital, Doctors can prescribe, order exams, review results, and compile medical
records paperlessly, right at the patient bedside. Nurses can manage drug delivery, update
charts, and handle vital parameters while keeping in direct contact with patients.
The solution is highly configurable, builds on extensible industry standards such as XML,
and comes in a variety of editions designed to support specific operational units or wholehospital administration.
MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS
The wHospital framework is designed to manage the caring process in a completely
paperless way. Multiple applications can function within the Framework to meet any clinical
document needs. All applications that are part of wHospital Framework are fully integrated
regarding users, policies, databases, and the online manual.
wHospital InPatient and OutPatient are two integrated applications that work seamlessly to
manage documents. With these applications, the Framework provides three important
modules: wHospital Pharma Manager, wHospital Legal Repository and wHospital API
Manager.
•wHospital Pharma Manager manages the drugs of the hospital formulary based on various
providers. The system also allows you to manage alerts and discussions on the introduction
of drugs and allow Specialist to develop guidelines in drugs usage.
•wHospital Legal Repository manages the storage folder and the volume of the same units,
implementing specific policies to access archived folders that will be sent to EMC2 OSA.
•With wHospital API Manager, hospital information systems can develop a suite of modules
for their hospital in an ad-hoc manner for specific needs.
