Dimensions: MPU (300x250 pixels)
Text advertisement — 10 word headline, 50 word copy, and .gif, .jpg or .png files for any
artwork
Format: We can accept .gif, .jpg, or .png files. Static banners are recommended as animated banners
may not be displayed correctly by the recipients’ email software. If an animated banner is required please
ensure the first frame displays all the information required by the ABPI Code of Practice (see below) as
this is all that will be displayed if animations are not supported by a recipient’s email software.
Link: If you require a click through to another web page or prescribing information, please ensure that
you supply either the URL (internet address) for the destination page or a digital copy of the prescribing
information for us to host on the eGuidelines.co.uk.
ABPI Code of Practice
The ABPI Code of Practice states that ‘the first part of an advertisement in an electronic journal, such as
the banner, is often the only part of the advertisement that is seen by readers. It must therefore include
a clear, prominent statement as to where the prescribing information can be found. This should be in the
form of a direct link.’
This means that banner ads should include some text indicating that readers should ‘click here for
prescribing information’.
Delivery
Please email the image file, and URL or prescribing information to [email protected].
