Cetomacrogol reduces the antibacterial activity of quaternary ammonium compounds. It can precipitate from solutions in the presence of high concentrations of electrolytes INCI NAME NOTES Ceteareth-20 It does not contain derivates of animal origin,BSE/TSE free PROPERTIES Surfactant; it is used as an emulsifier for the preparation of O/W and W/O emulsions, to make them insensitive to moderate concentrations of electrolytes and stable at different pH values; it also is a solubilising agent for essences, oil-soluble vitamins and poorly soluble substances in water SOLUBILITY Dispersible or soluble in water, soluble in ethanol (96%) and in methylene chloride,It solidifies at 32°C to 52°C
