The PII-2G is an advanced, high-end Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector, combining high performance with industrial
robustness. It is suitable for PoE applications such as video surveillance and other applications where end devices are to
be supplied with power through the Ethernet cable. The PoE concept is growing quickly thanks to the significant benefits
it offers when it comes to installation cost, reliability, compactness, flexibility etc. Using a PoE injector, any project can enjoy
these benefits, be it a network upgrade or an initial installation. The PII-2G features dual injection ports with gigabit
capability. It is compliant with both IEEE 802.3af (max 15.4 W) and 802.3at (max 30 W) so that also high-power devices
such as PTZ cameras and wireless access points can be handled. The gigabit capability enables connection also to high
bandwidth end devices, such as access points.
As opposed to many power supplies delivered with PDs (Powered Devices), the full compliance with IEEE 802.3af/at
ensures protection for over current/short circuit and over/under voltage, thus protecting PDs from damage.
The unit can easily be clipped onto a standard DIN rail alongside other industrial equipment in a cabinet. No configuration
of the device is needed. All that is required is a suitable power supply to make PoE functionality available on the network.
The robust design, with no moving parts, a wide temperature range, robust housing and industrial electrical design, makes
the PII-2G suitable for environments such as industrial automation, machine building, building automation etc.
