CC1000
An ultra low power, single-chip RF transceiver for use in the 300 to 1000 MHz frequency bands
The CC1000 has been specifically designed to be used in low power battery
operated systems and is the perfect choice for low-cost applications.
A unique UHF RF Transceiver
The CC1000 is a true single-chip UHF transceiver
designed for very low power consumption and low
voltage operation. Based on a pure 0.35 μm CMOS
technology, the CC1000 RF transceiver offers a
unique combination of low cost and high integration,
performance and flexibility, thus setting a new standard for short-range wireless communication devices.
The CC1000 is designed primarily for FSK systems
in the ISM/SRD bands at 315, 433, 868 and 915 MHz,
but can easily be programmed for operation at other
frequencies between 300 MHz and 1000 MHz. The
CC1000 supports data-rates up to 76.8 kbps.
Ideal for battery applications
the output power. In power-down mode, the CC1000
draws merely 0.2 μA, an important feature for battery
applications.

WORLD-CLASS DEVELOPMENT TOOLS
The CC1000 Development Kit makes it very easy to
evaluate the performance of the CC1000 chip and
designers can quickly develop their own RF modules based on this reference design. The SmartRF®
Studio software package, which is included, provides the flexibility needed to automatically generate configuration data used by the microcontroller.
Applications
•Home automation
•Remote keyless entry
The perfect choice for low-cost
applications
•Automatic meter reading
The low power consumption and the high
integration level make the CC1000 ideal for
any low-cost battery operated system. Since
very few external components are required
to make a complete transceiver, the CC1000 is
the perfect choice for even the smallest size
applications.
•Toys and PDAs
•Wireless alarm and security systems
•Audio/voice
•315/433/868/915 MHz SRD band systems
The CC1000 operates from 2.1 – 3.6 V making it ideal
for battery applications using e.g. single lithium 3 V
coin cells. The current consumption is only 7.4 mA
in receive mode and from only 5.3 mA (-20 dBm) to
26.7 mA (+10 dBm) in transmit mode depending on
