exclusive 2PLUS4
Extended Protection
Program begins with a standard
2 -year limited factory warranty. Then,
for 4 additional years, you're covered for
the extensive list of repairs listed below
with only a $25 deductible per component
group failure. And your 2PLUS4
protection plan is fully transferable to a
second owner. When it comes to
protection,
Volvo Penta has you covered like no one
else in the industry.
Engine: Internally lubricated parts contained within or
attached to the cylinder block including cylinder
liners, pistons, piston rings and pins, main and rod
bearings, cap bolts, crankshaft, connecting rods,
camshaft, camshaft bearings, front cover, timing
chain, timing and idler gears, timing belt, rocker arm
covers, rocker arms, valves, valve springs, pushrods,
lifters, flywheel ring gear, flywheel housing, harmonic
balancer, oil pump, oil cooler, oil filter housing,
engine mounts and flywheel bearings. Cylinder heads,
block, air intake housing, and intake manifold - if
damaged beyond repair by a covered component.
Closed Cooling System (Volvo Penta
Manufactured Components Only): Engine
coolant circulating pump and heat exchanger.
Outdrive Upper Gear Unit: Internally lubricated
parts contained within the upper gear housing
including upper drive gear set, shift cone, shift
cams, bearings, shims, bearing carriers, upper drive
shaft, plus the upper gear housing - if damaged
beyond repair by a covered component.
Outdrive Lower Unit: Internally lubricated parts
contained within the lower gear housing including
gears, propeller shaft, drive shaft, bearing carriers,
bearings, plus the lower gear housing - if damaged
beyond repair by a covered component.
Transom Shield: Intermediate shaft, intermediate
shaft bearing, gimbal bearing, U-joints, drive yoke,
steering yoke plus the transom shield and gimbal
housing assembly - if damaged beyond repair by a
covered component. Coverage excludes water entryrelated failures caused by holes in or physical
damage to rubber U-joint bellows or exhaust
bellows.
Power Trim System: Power trim cylinders, cylinder
seats, cylinder mounts and pivots, power trim
electrical motor, power trim electrical gauges, power
trim actuator solenoids and relays, power trim wiring
harness, power trim master control switches, sender
units, and limit switches, power trim hydraulic
pump.
Control Systems (Volvo Penta-Manufactured
Components Only): Shift and/or throttle control box
including: Cams, shaft, pivots, bushings, housing,
control arms, levers, knobs, control cables, and the
electrical trim switch if installed.
Steering Systems (Volvo Penta-Manufactured
Components Only): Hydraulic steering lines,
hydraulic steering cylinder, hydraulic steering flow
valves, and hydraulic pump.
Electrical System: Alternator including: stator,
rotor, voltage regulator and brush holders, and
brushes. Ignition trigger coil, ignition high-output
coil, spark plug wires, engine-mounted terminal
blocks, engine-mounted wiring harness and electrical
choke solenoid. Starter motor including: armature,
field windings, magnets, brush holder and brushes,
end caps and bushings, starter drive and starter
solenoid.
Air/Fuel System: Turbocharger and or supercharger
including all internally lubricated parts, fuel
injectors, and high-pressure fuel lines, fuel
distributors, fuel injection pumps, fuel delivery
pump, EFI control modules, waste gate actuator,
field pump diaphragm, carburetor body and flame
arrestor.
Seals and Gaskets: Seals and gaskets of a covered
component are covered if material is defective or if
damaged by or in conjunction with a covered repair.
Hoist/Lift-Out Coverage: For a period of
72 months from vessel delivery date, in the event of
a mechanical breakdown caused by a covered
component listed in this agreement, the contract
holder/purchaser will be reimbursed for hoist lift out
charges of $3.00 per foot of hull length up to a
maximum of $100.00 per covered mechanical
breakdown. Any reimbursement shall be for actual
hoist/lift-out charges in excess of any applicable
reimbursement from a manufacturer or insurance
company.
On-Water Towing Charges: For a period of
72 months from vessel delivery date, in the event of a
mechanical breakdown caused by a covered component
listed in this agreement, the contract holder/purchaser will
be reimbursed for reasonable on-water towing charges up
to $50.00 per occurrence (no deductible applies). Any
reimbursement shall be for actual towing charges in
excess of any applicable reimbursement from a
manufacturer or insurance company. Towing must be
performed by a valid marine service facility.
Electrical System: Alternator including: stator,
rotor, voltage regulator and brush holders, and
brushes. Ignition trigger coil, ignition high-output
coil, spark plug wires, engine-mounted terminal
blocks, engine-mounted wiring harness and
electrical choke solenoid. Starter motor including:
armature, field windings, magnets, brush holder and
brushes, end caps and bushings, starter drive and
starter solenoid.
Note: Maintenance and service
requirements must be maintained. (See
Manufacturer's Owner's Manual for all
service schedules.)
Volvo Penta 2PLUS4 Program Profile
Eligibility: To be eligible for 2PLUS4 coverage,
pleasure-use Volvo Penta gasoline and diesel power
systems must be within the first twelve months of
the original factory warranty registration period at
the time of application. This program is not
available for products in commercial use or for 61
Series and above Volvo Penta diesel engines.
Transferability: 2PLUS4 Extended Protection
coverage is fully transferable by the original owner
to a future owner and remains in force for the
remainder of the term existing on the original
protection contract. $25 transfer will apply.
Nationwide Coverage: 2PLUS4 Extended Protection
Programs will be honored at participating Volvo
Penta dealers throughout the USA and Canada.

toll-free number for questions and to report claims.

2PLUS4 is not available on gas engines that are rated
higher than 430 horsepower.

offer to contract. Some of the highlighted benefits
