Japan, and the Himalayas. A broad spreading,

densely twiggy shrub, becoming more open and
picturesque with age. Also called Manchu

Foliage: Medium to dark green above, white
hairs below with a yellow fall color. Leaves are
2-3” long and 1 - 1 1/2” long.
Soil: Prefers loamy soils
Tolerances:: Tolerates considerable wind and
dryness.
