Growing on:
Temperature
Serena™ grows best at moderate to warm temperatures of about 19 24ºC Day temperature with a Night temperature 18 - 19ºC.
Crop time will be considerably longer if grown cooler. If grown below
18ºC Angelonia could show chlorotic leaves.
pH
5.5 – 6.0
Feeding
Grow on dry side but do not allow plants to wilt. Apply fertiliser with
an EC of 1.2 – 1.5mS/cm. Use a basic fertiliser such as 13-5-20 or
similar together with Ca(NO3)2.H2O (in proportion of 2:1)
Pot size
Ideal for May sales in a premium pack/9-10.5cm pot, or June sales in a
1 litre pot.
Plants per m2
20 - 25 plants/m2
Advice
Use well-drained, soilless compost. Do not pinch. Pinching will only
delay flowering and make plant habit unattractive. Serena is naturally
branched. Keep light levels as high as possible.
Growth regulation
Not necessary for larger pots. 1 to 2 applications of PGR have been
shown to give good height control for small pots sizes and packs.
Common diseases
No serious problems
Common pests
