ARCS 2G System Requirements
The following requirements apply to ARCS 2G version 2G01.
Client Work Station Requirements
The ARCS 2G client workstation must meet the following minimum requirements:

Hard Disk Space Guidelines
Hard disk space requirements for generated data files depend largely on two factors:

The size of the typical ARCS 2G template and the number of documents generated
The size of a typical activity and the number of activity records generated
Examples
• If the ARCS 2G template averages 100KB and automatic processes generate 25,000 statements a
month, then required disk space = 2.5GB per month.
• If the ARCS 2G template averages 50KB and automatic processes generate 5,000 statements a month,
then required disk space = 250MB per month.
• If each activity record averages 2KB, and 2G generates 1000 activities a month, then required disk
space = 2MB per month.

Microsoft Application Requirements
ARCS 2G uses several Microsoft applications and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook for
creating automated output and for exporting data.
The following table shows all Microsoft applications used by ARCS 2G. Note that some components
must be installed on the client and server before ARCS 2G installation.

AR Snapshot/ARCS 2G Database/SQL Server Requirements
ARCS 2G acquires specific data from the billing system by taking a regular snapshot (extract) of the
billing system database. The following are requirements for this snapshot:

The 2G database must reside on a server running SQL Server 2005 (SP3) or later. A minimum of
1GB disk space must be available on the server, but this is dependent on the billing system extract.
Note: For AderantLoad, a minimum of 2GB disk space must be available on the server for the staging
database.

ARCS 2G and the billing system must be on the same version of SQL Server (e.g., both on 2005 or
both on 2008).
•
The billing system and ARCS 2G must have the same default collation. If working in a multiserveror linked-server environment, the collation of the ARCS 2G database must match the collation of the
billing database and the SQL Server default collation on the billing database server.

ARCS 2G System Requirements
Currency Requirements
ARCS 2G is sensitive to currency types/values identified in the billing system. Knowledge of the firm
currency code, additional currency codes, and currency symbols is necessary for proper installation.
Remote Office Requirements
When deploying ARCS 2G from a remote office, ARCS 2G requires either Citrix Presentation Server or
Microsoft Terminal Services. MiniSoft cannot guarantee performance using any other virtualization
software.
DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) Requirements
At this time, DSO reports are available only to Elite and Aderant billing system clients.
