MOST EXPENSIVE WEDDING
EVER
INVITING GUESTROOMS
Though it’s difficult to call it official, the 2004
wedding of Vanisha Mittal, daughter of steel tycoon
Lakshmi Mittal, is considered the most expensive
wedding in history. With a final tab of $60 million,
the wedding included invitations mailed in silver
boxes, rooms at a five-star Paris hotel, and
performances by pop singer Kylie Minogue. That
final price tag dwarfs another famously expensive
wedding, that of British soccer star Wayne Rooney
and his wife Coleen McLoughlin. The Manchester
United star reportedly spent $8 million on their
nuptials, which included a chartered flight for friends
to Genoa for a masked ball on a yacht valued at well
over $100 million. Chelsea Clinton’s 2010 wedding
reportedly cost $3 to 5 million.
If you're planning for some guests in
your home, consider these ideas.
Along with clean bed linens, consider
adding a featherbed mattress topper,
extra pillows, and extra blankets for
your guests. If there is space available,
have a small upholstered chair in a
corner. Offer some bottled water and
some light snacks. The room should
have adequate lighting, including a
reading light by the bed. A simple
alarm clock is a necessity.

CANDLE ORGANIZER TRICK
Small votive candle holders make attractive and
practical organizers. They can hold paper clips on a
desk, bobby pins on a bathroom counter, or
toothpicks near some appetizers on your buffet.
They also are a fun way to organize items in desk
drawers.
MAKE YOUR MEALS HEALTHIER
One of the easiest ways to make your meals healthier
is to simply cook them yourself. When you prepare
your own meals, you can take charge of how much
fat, salt, and sugar you add. Taking control of what is
in your food is very helpful. You have the ability to
make healthy substitutions. For example, you can
use olive oil instead of butter.

Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we
think of it; the tree is the real thing. —Abraham Lincoln
