Asynchronous Motor Elements
Stators
Stators are available with three-phase or poly-phase windings. Slot insulation and winding impregnation
comply with class F of VDE 0530 regulations (H - special insulation classes possible).
Maximum permissible sustained temperature of 200°C in special desing. The flexible leads are generally
designed with Teflon insulations and are oil resistant. For temperature monitoring, thermal switches
(PTC, PT100 or KTY resistors) can be integrated into the stator. Dimensions are specified in the standard
program. Windings are supplied in accordance with customer specifications. All stators have to pass a
100% impulse voltage and high voltage test.
Special designs on request
• Molded coil ends (e.g. for vacuum or laser applications)
• Stators molded in SycoTec manufactured or customer supplied cooling sleeve
• Mechanical finishing of stators and rotors
Rotors
The cage consists of specially selected high-pressure die-casting. This insures almost 100% fill of the slot
volume, so that greater mechanical strength of the rotor is achieved and the out of balance centrifugal forces
are low. This inherent balance remains constant.
Special modifications can be made to reach higher speed, for example armouring or closed slot.
Special designs on request
• Rotor assembled with shafts (based on customer specific drawings)
• Rotors with reinforcement rings/armouring (for high speed applications)
• Copper stuck rotors
• Die-casted copper rotors
• Mechanical finishing of stators and rotors
The following pages will show you some power calculation examples for 2-pole, 4-pole, 6-pole and 8-pole
three-phase asynchronous motors. The calculation examples should help you to define your own drive
design in regards to mechanical dimensions and power values. The calculated motors are not our standard
program range and they are not available to be delivered ex stock!
Further sizes available on request (up to max. diameter 400 mm of the stator).
