“The Great Pizzarotti’ wowed audiences at the Mother’s
day special matinee at Vivaldi’s Restaurant this year!
Billed as " a comic cabaret of operatic proportions as
performed the Jamie Way", this show offers much to the
music loving audiences with a bent for something
different.
"Pizzarotti" is a combination of classic opera favourites
mixed with a tantalising selection of hilarious comic
opera pieces. You'll laugh, cry and singalong to some of
the great opera moments with a literally larger than life
characterisation of the great ‘Dominos Pizzarotti’.
Famous crowd favourites in the form of The Toreador Song,
la Donna Mobile, Brindisi, Finiculi Finicula and O Sole
Mio will warm the cockles of the opera loving hearts
while engaging music lovers of all types. The audiences
may also be taken on an emotional journey through the
moving pieces including, Nessum Dorma, Che Gelida Menina,
The Prayer and Time To Say Goodbye.
There will also be the opportunity to witness some great
comic moments with a tribute to the great Victor Borge
and his Mozart Opera while a reenactment of the famous
the Bugs Bunny cartoon "What's Opera Doc?" are a few of
examples of the hilarity Pizzarotti's performance
throughout this seventy minute jaunt.
THE CREW:
Jamie Way is an actor, singer and writer from Wagga
Wagga, NSW. Jamie's career spans 16 years, including
cabaret, drama, musical theatre, comedy and live bands.
Most recently, he played Shulygin in the Australian
premiere production of "Doctor Zhivago: A New Musical"
for Gordon/Frost Organisation and Mr Toad in the 25th
Annual production of "Wind In The Willows" for Australian
Shakespeare Company. He can also be
feature films "Backyard Ashes" with
"Felony" with Joel Edgerton, and is
the Canberra Area Theatre Awards in
collaborator Mark Grentell.

Peter Cox has directed well over one hundred school,
community and professional productions.
The most successful being Les Miserables, The Boy From Oz
and My Fair Lady for the Wagga Civic Theatre and Darren
Coggan’s Moonshadows which toured successfully to
Canberra.
He has written and directed many nationally performed
cabaret style shows including, The Divine Miss Bette and
The Fabulous Chandeliers.
He has recently co-written and co-produced with Mark
Grentell a feature film entitled, “Backyard Ashes” which
will be screened in 2013.
David Wall has been playing keyboards and musically
directing assorted productions for over twenty years. He
has been musical director of shows such as Sunday in the
Park with George, Little Shop of Horrors, Les Miserables,
Chicago, The Boy from Oz and My Fair Lady, the last four
with director Peter Cox.
David has played keyboards in different groups from jazz
to rock to cabaret over the last 30 years.

Jamie Way’s great vocal and comic repertoire will
astound with moving renditions of Nessum Dorma, The
Prayer, The Toreador Song, La Donna Mobile combined
with some hilarious comic sketches in a 70 minute
cabaret that will astound.
