Denmark is excellent for biking. It’s flat!
5.2 million Danes own 4.4 million bicycles. 45% of Danish children bike to
school. 17% of men and 36% of women commute by bike.
Danes even invent new types of bicycles. For example, the Christiania bike

transports one parent and up to three children.

Hundreds of wind turbines around the country deliver 20% of the nation’s
energy consumption.
Denmark has become a world leader in wind energy: half of the world’s

wind turbines are manufactured in Denmark.
