IADVL-L’OREAL PIGMENTATION RESEARCH GRANT Applications are invited for the IADVL-L’OREAL Pigmentation Research grant The Grant is aimed at sponsoring research in the following fields of Indian skin and hair pigmentation, physiology and disorders: Clinical epidemiology of dyspigmentation Clinical research on melasma, lentigines, dark circles, lentigo, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation Clinical research on natural hair color (greying, whitening…) Depigmenting and pigmenting agents Skin pigmentation and environment Skin pigmentation and nutrition In vitro pigmentation models The applicants for the Grant would be departments of Dermatology from all states of India. The last date of submission of application is November 15, 2009. The format for application is available at www.iadvl.org or www.ijdvl.com All projects will require ethical clearance from local project review board. The applicants may submit projects directly to “Secretary IADVL” for consideration but funds will be released only after ethical clearance is obtained by the applicant. The research project would be evaluated by a combined jury consisting of IADVL and L’OREAL scientists and grants will be announced at DERMACON 2010. The total budget is approximately 10 lacs and the total number of awards will be limited to two to three.
