a Sam Wanamaker Theatre Join the STLD’s special tour of the candlelit Sam Wannamaker Theatre at Shakespeare’s Globe on the South Bank. Join us for supper nearby and attend a performance in this iconic theatre. The Date - Friday 1st July 2016 The Programme 1630 Optional gathering - the café will be open inside the Globe foyer. 1700 Meet inside the Globe by the entrance to the Sam Wanamaker Theatre for our tour by Paul Russel, Production Manager 1815 Society supper at a Pizza Express nearby 2000 Performance of the Flying Lovers of Vitebsk (at your cost) Daniel Jamieson’s The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk traces a young couple as they navigate the Pogroms, the Russian Revolution, and each other. This magical production is drawn in a theatrical language as fluid as Chagall’s paintings, and woven throughout with music and dance inspired by the Russian Jewish tradition.
