Tuesday, September 6 :
 Take out the raised letter “u” card. Have student trace the letter with their
finger. Then have student say the letter and the sound it makes. Repeat 5 times.
Have student name 5 words that have a short “u” sound in them.
 Practice arm spelling your new sight word “was”. Review each of the sight words
on your ring.
 Practice Bible Bop: “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” –Colossians 3:13


Take out the letter “n” card. Have student trace the letter. Then say the letter
and the sound it makes. Repeat 5 times. Name 5 words that start with the letter n.

Take out the letter “p” card. Have student trace the letter. Then say the letter
and the sound it makes. Repeat 5 times. Name 5 words that start with the letter p.

Take out the sight word card “was”. Practice arm spelling this word and then use
it in a sentence.

Thursday, September 8 :

Take out the letter “l” card. Have student trace the letter. Then say the letter
and the sound it makes. Repeat 5 times. Name 5 words that start with the letter l.

Practice making words out of the letters you have learned so far.

Reminder: Grandparents’ Day is tomorrow. Grandparents are welcome to join us
at 10:30 for a classroom activity and then we will enjoy lunch together at 11:00. Lunch
will be provided! Please bring blankets/ something to sit on. We will be eating on the
playground and there are a limited number of picnic tables/ chairs. Students are
welcome to visit the Book Fair with their grandparents and grandparents are also
welcome to sign the students out following lunch!
