Stage Right!

School for the Performing Arts
Education Classes

Classes in voice, acting, tap, jazz, ballet and musical
theater

Ages 4-7, 8-12 and 13-18 totaling an average of
fours semesters per school year, 3 summer performance
camps

Multiple levels of classes with level 4 for the teens at
the college level

Workshop performances at the conclusion of each
semester showcasing a work in progress for each age
group.

The teachers for the school are professionals in their
respective fields, most are members of Actor’s Equity
the professional union for actors.

Final performance at the conclusion of the four
semesters is professionally produced and presents a
full-length musical promoted to the public.
Home School Class Series
Providing performance classes to fit the curriculum of home
school and cyber school students throughout the county. Past
session enrolled 90 students for a twelve-week semester.

Produced the first Home School High School Musical
in Westmoreland County presented to a local audience
of over 700 people.

The 2013 class presented Yes, Virginia, in December.
Summer Musical Theatre Camp
Stage Right! offers three summer musical theatre camp per year for
the past 8 years. There are two camps for the 8-18 year old
students and one for the 4-7 year old students.

Camp features classes in voice, tap, acting, ballet, jazz
with the students divided by age groups 8-12 and 13-18

Each camp ends with a professional produced
production presented to the public.

This past summer’s camps presented Snow White,
Peter Pan, 13, the musical and Sweeney Todd.
Stage Right! Outreach Programs
Stage Right! Theatre Company
Stage Right! Books Come Alive
This unique library-based program provides musical
dramatizations of best-loved children’s books and brings them to
life with professional theatre artists, colorful costumes, props and
incredible story telling techniques. The result is an exciting,
professionally produced performance that sparks interest in books,
stimulates imagination and encourages reading.

Currently the program has expanded to libraries in
Westmoreland, Fayette, and Allegheny Counties.

Utilizes the talent of Stage Right! students.

Featured as part of the summer reading program with
Hempfield and Greensburg Salem School Districts.
Professional Theatre Company
Stage Right! has completed14 seasons of Broadway caliber
productions using the historic Palace Theatre.

The 2013-14 season includes: My Son Pinocchio,
Shrek, the Musical, La Befana the Christmas
Musical, The Secret Garden and Children of Eden

The 2012-13 included: Snow White, Annie, Godspell
and Seussical.

Stage Right! audiences average over 14,500 people per
year seeing a production.
We bring to the stage Equity Actors seen on the stages of New
York, St. Louis, Chicago and Pittsburgh and pair them in a
mentoring relationship with students from Stage Right and local
college and community actors. Prices for a ticket range from as
low as $12 for a student to $22 for an adult seat.
Kids Take A Stand
A series of outreach programs dealing with the subject of Bullying,
and Internet Safety.

The Bully Twins – A dynamic duo of super heroes
battle Nasty man and follow the simple rules of
Respect, Help and Acceptance.

Keys to Succeed tackles the challenge of being a leader
and the character traits a person needs to make a
difference in both the classroom and the world.

10 Dumb Things To Do With Your Computer is an
interactive multimedia production instructing kids
without scaring them and keeping them safe on the
web.

Face 2 Face is a hard-hitting multimedia play that
tackles the issue of Internet predators.
These programs have been seen throughout the state with recent
workshops in Philadelphia, Cranberry, Latrobe, and locally in
Greensburg.
The Stage Right Sensations
The Sensations are an audition performance troop of students who
are featured throughout the area at local festivals, community
events and parks. Currently 45 students are members of the Stage
Right Sensations. This summer the Sensations will be featured at
St. Clair Park in a summer concert series, Twin Lakes Arts and
Heritage Festival, Idlewild Park, Kennywood and Community
Days events. This year they will travel to Disney World.
Student Company Productions
Utilizing the talented students from the Stage Right!, a series of
student company productions have included: Alice in
Wonderland, Anything Goes, The Little Mermaid and
Pinkalicious the musical to the stage. This year we are in the
process of developing a new musical called Little Red Ridinghood.
This family entertainment is presented during the day and
combined with a lunch. The productions are produced using Stage
Right’s professional staff, giving the students the opportunity of
being in a professional level production.
Broadway in the Park
Stage Right! offers a series of three concerts at St. Clair Park the
third Sunday of June, July and August. This series is free to the
public and offers families an evening together. Shows feature
professional performers from throughout the area with highlights
of Stage Right upcoming productions.
