Compounded Control Drugs for Office Use Stokes has received many questions about controlled drugs being compounded and sold to hospitals and veterinary offices for office administration. Following are some answers you may find helpful. Does Stokes have a DEA manufacturer license? Yes, our DEA manufacturer license number is RS0447979. It is registered under Stokes Healthcare. Why is this required? This allows a compounding pharmacy to compound controlled medications to be sold and administered in a hospital or veterinary practice in states that permit office use. (A DEA manufacturer license does not mean we are a drug manufacturer such as Pfizer®. This license is only for reporting of controlled compounded medication for office use.)
