NextGen Alpha prepares artificial
intelligence investor conference
Switzerland, 23 January 2017 – Swiss based NextGen Alpha is organizing a unique AI event backed by
leading German investment manager, ACATIS Investment, who will act as conference sponsor.
Speakers comprised of a diverse range of fund management product providers (who employ AI
in some form in their product range) will present to and engage with an audience of professional
investors sharing insightful views, opinion, experiences as well as offering candid assessments of
AI’s developments to date, its future potential and finally the impact AI is having on their own
investment management activities and plans.
Investors will gain a high level of comfort from their new found understanding regarding important
matters such as the basics of how some artificial intelligence technologies seek to mimic the neural
networks of the human brain, how some managers use not only one but use a range of existing and
evolutionary AI technologies, how AI impacts fund investment process and how AI has the potential
to drive down costs and help create alpha in markets which are already crowded and highly efficient.
Additionally, investors will have a clear understanding that artificial intelligence as applied to fund
management and involves limited to no human intervention in the investment process is in no way
related to or has evolved from traditional “quant” oriented approaches and technologies.
