COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
Students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental concepts of logic; analyze an argument’s validity,
create and interpret a truth table, etc.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental concepts of triangle trigonometry.
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental concepts of probability and be able to apply basic
counting principles to find probabilities.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental concepts of statistics.
5. Demonstrate the ability to apply elementary techniques of Calculus. In particular, the student will be
able to find derivatives and antiderivatives, find extreme, and determine areas.
6. Demonstrate the ability to apply a variety of methods to the solution of given problems.
7. Demonstrate knowledge of some aspect of mathematics and its purpose or role in society through
writing.
8. Recognize specific problem solving techniques and apply them.
