Spelling “rule” of the week:
Drop the final silent e before adding a
suffix beginning with a vowel.
Exceptions: noticeable, courageous
Focus Rule Words:
1) separating (separat [-e] + ing)
2) concentrating (concentrat [-e] + ing)
3) refuting (refut [-e] + ing)
4) investigating (investigat [-e] + ing)
5) experiencing (experienc [-e] + ing)
Academic Verbs:
6) proceed to go forth
