RESEARCHING VENUS, ITS SIGNS - TAURUS & LIBRA AND ITS HOUSES THE SECOND AND SEVENTH,
IN THE BIRTHCHARTS OF PEOPLE WHO COMMITTED SUICIDE

ABSTRACT
This research attempts to determine the connection between a particular planet: Venus, its
corresponding signs: Taurus and Libra, and their corresponding houses, the second and seventh houses
in the natal charts of people with the propensity for suicide.
INTRODUCTION
The research utilized as many individual facets of analysis as possible. Only some of them proved to
be significant, but, to have reached any statistically profound results, at all, speaks loudly for itself, and
thus for Astrology. The analysis used over a thousand criteria looking for relationships that exceeded
normal or average correlation in the natal charts of people who committed suicide. This study writeup
is used in conjunction with the spreadsheet entitled Venus Suicide Research Results.
METHODOLOGY
The data we collected totaled 563 birth charts of people who committed suicide. We used the Astro
Investigator Fast Research software designed and written by AIR Software to do our research.

The criteria for our research model included but were not limited to Venus: in each sign, each house,
major aspects to Venus (10º or 8° orb), minor aspects to Venus (3º orb), 6th harmonics, 4th harmonics, if
it is intercepted, retrograde, rising before the Sun or Moon, conjunct an angle, phases, speed, aspects to
planets in the 2nd or 7th houses, aspects to the ruler of the 2nd or 7th houses, the same with the Taurus or
Libra houses, all midpoints aspects to Venus and Venus in any of the four hemispheres. We included
the Nodes and the vertex in our research.
RESULTS
Using a minimum chi square of 3, out of over a thousand astrological events, 36 events were significant.
Of those, 18 had a high probability of happening often and 18 had a high probability of happening
seldom. Of the 18 tending toward suicide, 4 had Mercury and 4 had Uranus involved, these being the
two planets associated with intellectual functioning; thus 8 of those 18 had associations with mentally
active Astrological stimulae. Analyzing the rest of the results, by planet, sign, house and aspect resulted
in no conclusive corrolaries.
CONCLUSION
No one, single, astrological criterion, based on Venus, its signs and houses, points toward suicidal
tendencies. What the research does bring forward is a set of criteria, taken individually or as a group
that do point, statistically, directly toward a propensity toward suicide. The significantly high chi
squares, and thus, probabilities proclaim that there are measurable astrological events that provide
insight into the chance that someone may be more prone toward being suicidal.
