Download The Chart below shows the replacement batteries for the 1609

The battery is replaced on the 1609-U750, 1609-U1000 and 1609-U1500 by removing
the cover of the unit and unscrewing the top two screws on the plate behind the cover.
Disconnect the battery and remove from housing and replace with new batteries.
Note – Each UPS takes two of the batteries noted below.
The 1609-U750N replacement battery is part # 1606-XLSBAT1.
The 1609-U1000N and 1609-U1500N do not have replacement batteries available from
Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley, but they can be obtained from a third party source
as noted below.
The Chart below shows the replacement batteries for the 1609-U1000 and 1609-U1500.
The last two columns are examples of a manufacture and the battery that the customer
can use.
The customer should be able to use any manufacturer as long as it meets the voltage and
ampere-hour requirements of the unit. Note - the connectors that are attached to the
existing batteries should be kept for use with the new replacement batteries.
