POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
General Rules:
* Don’t be tardy to theater class! It’s the best part of the day!
* BE KIND to one another. Critiques should always start off with a positive and end with a
positive.
* In order to create art and community, you must LOOK AWAY FROM THE PHONE. You will not
learn and grow if you are constantly on your cell phone. There will be a log that Mrs. Tanenr
notates overly abused self phone usage. Seven or more notations and a parent will be
contacted, because that is almost the equivilent of missing a week of class.
* Participate in activities. Come rehearsed and ready to create.
* Encouragement and smiling and caring is a great way to help yourself and everyone around you
grow.
Grading Policies:
Most assignments in this class are graded using a rubric. You will receive a copy of the rebric as
well as one being abailable to you in It’s Learning. Midterms and Finals will be performance
based and then have a written componant. The written component will only need to be done, IF
you HAVE to take the midtern and/or final for the class. There will be a growth measurement test
at the beginning and end of the course. The first test does not count toward your grade, while the
last test counts as a classroom activity grade. SCENE DAY gets a grade every other week. So,
Mrs. Tanner takes the BEST scene day performance between the two weeks and grades it.
