Please find below Addendum #2 changes and questions/answers associated with the Audio Visual and
Security Systems RFP for Ellis County
SECURITY ADDENDUM #2_3-2-09
1. Please provide warranty information provided your company in installation, quality of work, and
list the terms provided under your warranty.
2. Please provide warranty information available from the Manufacturer of your proposed solution .
3. Please provide a list of doors in excel format that you have specified power supplies for in the
Courts Building, Please notate which doors will be powered from the panels in the IDF closet via
the low voltage cable, and which doors will have power provided by others.
AUDIO VISUAL QUESTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS 3-2-09
1. What are the ceiling types? It is not necessary to have exactly what the material is
planned to be installed just lay-in or hard ceiling. Lay In ceilings throughout.
2. From the documents it appears to be the AV Contractor’s responsibility to furnish and
install all projectors and screens as well as any necessary structural channel, etc. Is this
correct? YES
3. Will the system require including a white or other noise generator for side bar
conversations? What about outside the two conference rooms near the main entry of the
courtroom? NO
4. Is there a need for a microphone at the Court Reporter’s location? NO
5. Is there a requirement for either single channel or individual channel recording at the
Court Reporter’s location or at a logging recorder location? NO
6. the description of the lectern connection calls for a document camera connection. Is this
considered a portable and we only need to be concerned with the connection. Please
provide the complete system inclusive of cable connectivity and equipment.
7. Are there existing specifications on the type of poke thrus and floor boxes that are
intended for install to price inserts or plates? See Spreadsheet Below for Floor Box
