SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS
GDP Estimates



BOS computed GDP estimates for Punjab.
These are, however, crude due to paucity of
data and lack of break-up of information by
provinces for many sectors as well as the
conceptual and methodological problems
involved therein.
In the cases where provincial data was not
available GDP estimates for Punjab were
arrived at by apportioning the national GDP on
the basis of labour force engaged in that
sector.

SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS
Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS)





compared to 31,000 during Previous MICS.
tehsil based MICS-08 as
70 Indicators instead of 44 concerning Education, Health, Population
Welfare, Hygiene/Sanitation Practices and Poverty etc.
Highlight inter-district disparities, update & compare the results of the
indicators covered in previous MICS and benchmark for indicators not
