EXPERIENCES May – July 2016 STARS Summer Research Program, Yale University Earned a grant to continue performing research over the summer at the Holmes Laboratory. Participated in weekly research colloquiums as well as completed a course on effective techniques for public speaking and scientific communication. Culminated the summer by presenting the finding of two trends of correlated gene expression in the human brain in a public symposium. May – July 2015 Web Development Intern, Yale School of Medicine Web Group Worked at the Yale School of Medicine Web Group, consulting and creating websites for academic departments, research laboratories and individual researchers. Assisted with the migration of hundreds of websites to a new CMS. May 2014 Research Intern, Center for Investment and Trade, México Worked as a consultant in the biotechnological innovation division of the government organization promoting national and international investments; analyzed investment opportunities utilizing new technologies to take advantage of the natural resources of the region; focused on the application of genetic techniques for fortifying local crops.
