Ms. Akers Tic-Tac-Toe Biochemistry Project
Choose three assignments to complete. The 3 assignments you choose must make a tic-tac-toe on the
board. Grades will be based on the rubric fond on the back of this sheet.
Make a list of items that
serve the same function as
each of the biochemistry
molecules and three types of
them for each. Your list
should be in the format of a
chart. The first column
shows the molecule. The
second column shows the
corresponding item. The
third column explains how
the two are similar. 10 items
minimum. For example:
Make a children’s book
about the different
biochemistry molecules in
the cells, with a different
molecule on each page.
For each biochemistry
molecule, include it’s
name, the kinds, and the
function of each type. A
picture must be included.
Find and print a current
events article (less than six
months) old concerning
biochemistry in the field
of biology or medicine.
Read the article and write
a one page summary
about the article. Staple
the article to the back of
your summary.

Create a “Who am I” game
using biochemistry
molecules. Use 3 different
types. Write 5 clues for each
molecules, starting with hard
clues and the last being the
easiest clue.
Garbage – unsaturated trans
lipid – worst type of fat that
needs to be thrown away
(include all biochemistry
molecules)
Create a board game
Use all the different types
of biochemistry molecules
and their types
(I have templates)
Create-aTest
10 multiple choice
10 fill in the blanks

Pick an biochemistry
moleclule and write a
story “A Day in the Life of
a _______” Make sure it
is at least 2 pages long
and includes at least 3
other biochemistry
molecules.
Make a crossword puzzle
using the words listed below.
Your clues must be in your
own words: carbohydrate,
saccharide, glucose, enzyme,
nucleic acid, lipid, hormones,
wax, amino acid, steroid,
protein, substrate, active
site, DNA, chitin, cellulose
