PACKAGING: 0.1 mCi/ml (3.7 MBq/ml) in water : ethanol (98:2), steri-packaged. Shipped ambient.
STABILITY AND STORAGE: When aspartic acid, L-[14C(U)]- is stored at 5oC in its original solvent and at its
original concentration, the rate of decomposition is initially 2% per year from the date of purification. The rate of
decomposition can accelerate. Stability is nonlinear and not correlated to isotope half-life. Lot to lot variation may
occur.
SPECIFIC ACTIVITY RANGE: >200 mCi/mmol (>7.41GBq/mmol)
RADIOCHEMICAL PURITY: This product was initially found to be greater than 97% when determined by the
following method. It is advisable to check purity prior to use.
High performance liquid chromatography on a SCX column using the following mobile phase:
10 mM potassium phosphate pH 3.0
OPTICAL PURITY: This product was determined to be greater then 97% L-aspartic acid.
QUALITY CONTROL: The radiochemical purity of aspartic acid, L-[14C(U)]- is checked at appropriate
intervals using the above chromatography method.
