Exam comprises an unseen reading comprehension followed by writing to argue, persuade or advise. We are practising the skills required for this in
class. All pupils can do to revise is read non-fiction texts and learn the language features for those three types of writing.
Pupils are given topic lists in lessons for specific revision.
Topics to be assessed in the exam are Spectrum 9E,9F, balancing equations and conservation of mass.

50% practical exam involving observational drawing of food packaging. The remaining 50% of the exam will be in the form of a written response to Pop
Art. Pupils will therefore need to be able to define Pop Art and have knowledge of at least one major Pop Artist, such as James Rosenquist or Andy

Warhol. Pupils will also be asked to define the following words/phrases: composition, contrast, blending, tone, commercial art, fine art, consumerism.
Film music and reggae plus music theory.
No exam – just practicals.
