Lead Clinical Pharmacist – Antimicrobial Stewardship
Roper St-Francis Healthcare is seeking a Lead Clinical Pharmacist to join our already established
Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. This individual will work collaboratively with Infectious
Diseases physicians, pharmacists, medical staff, and other healthcare providers to enhance
patient care. As a member of the team, this pharmacist will participate in the development,
implementation, and documentation of interventional strategies to optimize antibiotic
utilization. This includes but is not limited to: antibiotic guidelines, clinical pathways, policy
development, formulary management, restriction criteria, educational efforts, as well as daily
audit and feedback rounding. The Lead Clinical Pharmacist will work closely with the Director
of the program to coordinate all efforts and activities of the stewardship team to ensure that
facility and system metrics/goals are accomplished.
Required Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive as the leader of a tight-knit team
Aptitude for identifying problems and recommending solutions
Completion of Doctor of Pharmacy Program (preferred) or BS in Pharmacy
Current South Carolina Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure
Completion of PGY1 residency and PGY2 specializing in Infectious Diseases (preferred)
or equivalent clinical experience
Board Certification preferred
Completion of Antimicrobial Stewardship Certification Program or
stewardship/infectious disease experience required
Roper St. Francis is a 657-bed system consisting of 90 facilities and services in seven counties.
This currently includes three acute care hospitals in the Charleston, SC area with plans for
another inpatient hospital in development. With 90 miles of sandy beaches and an average
