Retinoblastoma
Treatment
Is a malignant tumor (cancer)
of the retina that generally affects
children under the age of 6.
The majority (90%) of retinoblastoma
patients have no family history of the
disease; only a small percentage of
newly diagnosed patients have other
family members with retinoblastoma.
There are several different treatments
They are:
-Photocoagulation (Laser Therapy)
-Cryotherapy (Freezing Treatment)
-Chemotherapy
-Enucleation (removal of eye-only
done as a last resort)
