SUMMER ASSIGNMENT 2011-2012
Indus River Valley Civilization
The Indus River Valley civilization is absolutely fascinating! This region is modern-day Pakistan. The Harrapans were the first to
settle along Indus River Valley 2600 BCE-1900 BCE. They started farming and trade routes, and learned new skills from trade. The
Harrapans learned how to make simple plows from the Mesopotamians. Later, they began growing rice brought from traders,
and this would become their main crop.
