PRESS RELEASE Pantomime success for The Courtyard The Courtyard’s annual pantomime enjoyed a very successful run, beating last year’s sales figures by 3%. A total of 17,891 people attended this year’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk, including 52 schools. The pantomime run also featured The Courtyard’s first ever relaxed performance which attracted 136 customers and was specifically designed for those who would benefit from a less formal theatrical environment. The success of this performance paves the way for future relaxed performances at The Courtyard, allowing audience members to leave their seats, make noise and move around, and with lights kept at a higher level than usual and adjustments made to sound effects. This year’s pantomime is Beauty and the Beast and will start at the end of November. Tickets will be on sale at the beginning of February. For more information on live productions coming up at The Courtyard in the meantime, including the Youth Theatre’s production of James and the Giant Peach, visit www.courtyard.org.uk or contact the Box Office on 01432 340555. - Ends – Notes to editors For interviews, photos or follow up stories, contact Joanna Lucas, Marketing Officer, on 01432 346534 or [email protected].
