Blackburn Enterprise Centre (Telephone System).
“It’s refreshing that Blackburn w/Darwen are treating the building as an
incubator for SMEs” Tony Raynor – Abbey Telecom
”SMEs are getting a “silk purse for far less than the price of a “sows
ear”.
Most business customers choosing a new telephone system would like the option of features
like; Call recording, Voicemail, Voicemail to e-mail, call management software and Voice over
Internet Protocol (VoIP), but find the cost of implementing these features too expensive. So
they end up buying a basic system with direct dial and caller ID.
However, by using a centralised telephone system within a managed office these customers
can have the options at less than the cost of leasing the most basic of systems. Indeed the
centre has made it’s pricing “simply irresistible”

Save having to rent costly lines - This allows for; fax machines, PDQs, private lines, etc, to
be connected through the telephone system making significant savings on line rental costs.
Answer the phone in different company names or department names - These names will
show on the LCD display so the user only has to read the screen as they answer the call.
Reduce wasted marketing spend - analyse the response to different advertising and
marketing initiatives by using the Centre’s DDI numbers to track where your enquiries come
from.
Save on receptionist costs - dial direct to an individual’s desk, bypassing the telephonist.
CLI. Calling Line Identity or caller ID gives the ability to see who is calling you before
answering the phone.
Each display phone remembers the last 10 caller IDs – Never miss a call and correct
wrongly taken messages

Preston Lancs,
Every business from startups to large corporates need and rely on Internet Access and
Secure Networks within their organisations.
Blackburn and Darwen have ensured that this was a paramount requirement within the newly
developed Blackburn Enterprise Centre.
Businesses have options available to them on the type of Internet Connection and Internal
Network Configuration.
Option one
£20 a month
A dedicated Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) hardwired into the chosen suite. The network
connection is controlled by the latest Cisco Router. Cisco are one of the world’s leading
manufacturers of networking equipment. The VLAN will have it’s own range of IP Addresses,
X.X.X.1-254. Remote Access to the VLAN is achieved by installing a CISCO VPN client onto
a remote device that requires access to the VLAN. Again this service has connectivity to the
Internet via an ADSL Max Circuit. This type of circuit, ADSL Max, has a very low contention
ratio with Massive Download and Upload speeds. The Speeds currently available to the
Blackburn Enterprise Centre are 8Mbs Download and a 800Kbs Upload. This service is
available to all tenants at a fraction of the actual cost. Public IP Addresses are available for
tenants who require them (costed separately)
Option Two
£100 a month
Internal Network Provision as per Option Two but using a Dedicated Leased Line Circuit for
internet connectivity. Circuits of this nature are common place in Very Large Multi National
Companies due to the expense of installation, rental and support. Blackburn Enterprise
Centre is able to offer tenants this form of connectivity at a cost that is very affordable. The
Leased Line Circuit is monitored 24/7 to ensure maximum availability.
Additional Items
No two businesses are the same on IT infrastructure requirements. The Blackburn Enterprise
Centre has options to suit all tenants. Additional network equipment and configuration can be
carried out to suit your needs.
For Example:
Fixed Public IP Address
£5.00 / month
Secure Cisco Wireless Access Points
£349.00
(Installed
and Configured)
