The Air Flow Transducer
The air flow transducer consists of two different RTD, one of them heated another is
unheated. Our transducer works with heat changing. When we flow the air on this two RTD
the heated one will more change their temperature from the another one. The temperature
changing depends on air flow force and speed, but our circuit has only one step adjustment
air flow pump.
The air flow transducers internal circuit is not complex. There are 2 RTD, a heater, 2
resistor and input-output voltage. In our circuit, we start with connect to equipment each
other. Firstly, we connect the airflow sensors + and – to voltmeter whose other connection
to zero. And sensors other + and – junctions connected to instrumentation amplifier which
using for gain. This amplifiers output connect to the another amplifier which can adjustable.
In the last we connected to voltmeter from adjustable amplifiers output. We set this
amplifiers coarse control to 10, fine control to 1.0 and pump control to off. After we supply
on the our circuit, and adjusted the initial condition to zero, in addition when system
stabilize, we set coarse control to 100.
After off all circuit connection, we start our experiment. Firstly, we opened air flow
with Flow/Pressure button set to Flow. We switched the pump ON and we noted with pump
off and pump on voltages. And the voltages shown as Table 1.

After our experiment we understand that our transducer ( - ) voltage have not
heated, because their voltage did not change. Our transducers + voltage change and we
obtain 0,1 Volt.
In the real world, there are many using area of the air flow transducer. Therefore,
there are many companies producing this transducer. Examples of the using area are
product line quality means when a company produce a thing in specific temperatures, PCB
temperature monitor means measure the computer components temperature and
residential air ventilation monitoring means air-condition.
