Do you know who is Rafael Sanzio?
Rafael Sanzio da Urbino was born in 1483 and died in April 6, 1520 he lived in Urbino;
he was an Italian painter in Florentine high renaissance, he moved in to Rome at age
25.He was more famous than Michelangelo. (MediaWiki, 2016)
Rafael’s mother and father died when he was young but before Rafael’s father died He
inspired him and he taught him how to draw and paint, he also secured his apprenticeship
before he died and got him with Petro Perugino to be his teacher in 1500 and in 1504
Perugino taught him his style of painting that Raphael mastered. (raphaelpaintings, 2011)
When he went to Florence, he was motivated by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo;
their style of painting, but Raphael still used his unique style of painting; he painted one
of his most famous pinting which was one of his most important projects the unique
paintings La Belle Jardinere is 1507. (raphaelpaintings, 2011)
The year 1508 Rafael went to Rome to work and lived the rest of his life there, the pope
Julius II invited Rafael to work at one of his stanza to make many fantastic artworks like
Parnassus, The School of Athens and The Disputation of the Holy Sacramentand when
the pope came to see it he was impressed. (raphaelpaintings, 2011)

The school of Athens shows the many subjects that can be mastered like geometry,
astronomy, solid geometry and arithmetic in the middle of the painting you will see Plato
and Aristotle who are some of the teachers in the school, this was made in a classical

Madonna and Child Enthroned with Saints This painting was painted is a huge part
of a church Raphael used some of Leonardo’s style with his. (metmuseum, 1870)
In the painting An Allegory ('Vision of a Knight') that was painted 1504 represents the
characteristics of a knight one of the women is holding a book and a sword which
represents a knight’s knowledge and strength and another women holding a flower
which represents the love and compaction of a knight.
Pope Julius II gave Rafael another stanza but in the middle of the work on the stanza
Pope Julius II died. (raphaelpaintings, 2011)
Michelangelo blamed Raphael for plagiarism because of Rafael using other styles of
artists with his own. Raphael reserved tons of work from pope Julius II successor Leo X
In some projects he played a small role. Raphael’s workshop got credited for the best art

Rafael died in the middle of one of his projects, which was used as a cherishment of his
greatness in art and the drawing world. (raphaelpaintings, 2011)
Raphael made a drawing based on his lover Maria Bibbiena named La Fornarina.

synonymous with the best of the Renaissance Art. Along with Titian, Donatello,
Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Shakespeare, and a small band of contemporaries.”

Raphael Sanzio da Urbino was one of the greatest artists of his time and he created
over 80 paintings a lot of them are portraits he used oil in a lot of his paintings, a lot
of his greatest arts wear in Rome now they are in museums like The national gallery
and the Met Museum and Etc.. in the end I would like to say that I hope this research
