Excretory System Function
❖ Organs that are apart of the excretory
system: Liver, Kidney, large intestine, skin
and lungs.

Definition of Excretory system: passive
biological system that removes excess,
unnecessary materials from the body
fluids of an organism, so as to help
maintain internal chemical homeostasis
and prevent damage to the body.

the kidneys filter blood and make urine,
then the urine travels through the ureter
and then goes into the bladder then finally
goes out the urethra.

Dialysis: When kidneys fail,
the only option is to get a
kidney transplant. before
this happens, they go
through dialysis.

Compare of Human and Pig System
Pigs have almost the same thoracic and
abdominal organs as humans, there are just
small differences in a few organs.
The human liver has four lobes, instead of
five lobes.
There is a significant difference in the
structure of the human colon and the pig
colon.
The lungs of pigs are almost identical to
human lungs, they both have multi-lobed
lungs.
The stomach, small intestines, kidneys, and
bladders are basically the same in both
organisms.
Comparative Anatomy of Plant Kingdom
In many ways, plant cells are a lot like ours. They are both eukaryotes and
have a lot of the same organelles.
In plant cells, they have a plasma membrane which holds the cell together and
permits the passage of substances into and out of the cell.
