Title of experiment:
Information sheet of
the experimental equipment that will be brought into MLF
1. Name(s) of the equipment:
2. Specifications
Please provide the following information depending on the type of the equipment you will use.
►Sample environment equipment
-
Designed values of sample environment conditions (e.g. 10 T, 600 oC, 1 kV, 10 GPa, 4 K, etc.)
-
Methodology (e.g. pulsed magnet, laser-heating)
-
Characteristic materials of the equipment (e.g. aluminum window, sapphire cells, niobium heater)
►Commercial products
-
Manufacture companies, models
►Electrical equipment
-
Input voltage, phase (1/ 3), frequency
-
Power rating (kW or kVA)
-
Special requirements or, consideration for noise reduction, if necessary.
►If a cooling system is required for the equipment,
-
Coolant: water or air
-
Information on pressure (Pa), flow rate (l/min), tube size.
3. Information on the activation possibility of the equipment
To only neutron users
Will the equipment be directly exposed to the incident neutron beam? (Yes/No)
If “Yes”, please answer whether it contains any of the following materials:
Cr, Hg, In, Mn, Sc, Ta, Tb, Tm, V.
4. Equipment design and experimental layout on the beamline
Please provide the following information.
-
a picture of the equipment
-
a schematic diagram of the assembled components (if necessary)
-
the experimental layout including the equipment and other key components on the
beamline. (This can be shown at “Research plan” section)
5. Safety measures
Please describe potential hazards in the usage of the equipment at the MLF (e.g. a fire, an
electric shock, blowout of samples and an oxygen shortage) and safety measures for the
hazards (e.g. an installation of the interlock system for over-heating, a mechanical block
system for preventing blowout and an oxygen monitor)
[Upload File; one A4-size PDF file for each experimental equipment with a file size less
than 5MB. Please note that uploadable file type is PDF (.pdf) only; and that you cannot
upload files without file extensions.]
