Fun facts about Pine Cones:





The pine tree species is the only type of trees that reproduce from the seeds that are enclosed inside of
pine cones.
Pine cones are actually the flowers of pine trees.
There are both male and female pine cones and they both grow on the same tree
The male pinecones grow on the lower part of the tree, while the female ones grow on the upper part.
Pine cones that you find on the ground are female pine cones that have completed their reproductive
process.
