The Romteck Mobile Wireless System provides the maximum network connectivity
possible in a single robust installation.
Mobile units can be placed anyware on a mine site and easily moved as the mine site
is expanded or obstructions develop.

The system provides an extremely robust, scalable and secure Wireless network
using standard Wireless (WiFi) protocols such as 802.11n.
The WiFi protocol is integrated with a wireless mesh system which provides a self
healing and dynamic routing mechanisms.
The Romteck mobile wireless will also route information via alternative network
paths such as microwave and 3G.
Each Mobile Wireless unit incorporates GPS that assists in mapping it’s
location onto a mine-site map.
The Romteck Mobile Wireless system provides a number of deployment
solution packages to manage and monitor the network.

provide a high performance, robust resilient network backbone with (failover) link solutions.

Interface via physical connections such as Fibre Optic (Single or Multi mode), Ethernet
(Cat5) or even RS-232/RS-485 to provide links between SCADA / PLC type of devices.
Provide WiFi connectivity to a wide range of equipment such as laptop computers, mobile
phones, PDA’s and even Video Monitoring and Surveillance equipment.
Interface via 3G/NextG and GSM systems to provide a backup or temporary link.

Expandable and Self Healing
As more bandwidth is required the system will find optimum paths through the mesh network. If the
bandwidth required exceeds current capacity, more units can easily share the load in parallel. The
more units installed, the less potential for single points of failure due to obstructions.
Additional interfaces such as PSTN modem can be added if required.
Maximum Flexibility
Network Planning and Deployment
As the network is deployed, the mobile units can be located using a mapping system and analysed
to determine their signal strength, data throughput performance etc. The Mobile Wireless System
will automatically find the optimal route for the data through the network.
The network management software provides simple but sophisticated control of your network and
provides vital information to assist in the appropriate scaling of the network.
Path Analysis
A “drive and test” tool can be supplied that allows you to perform almost automatic path analysis
and wireless coverage tests, where you just drive around the site in the area of interest, the GPS
locations are recorded along with signal strength and quality measurements.
Self Healing and Failover
If a unit has failed the Mobile Wireless System re-routes communications via any alternative that it
can locate and inform the administrators of the error.
Solar management
The Romteck Wireless Mesh system is Solar Powered and/or Mains powered. The Solar battery system is continually monitored via the network
and will inform an administrator of problems. The Solar power administration software graphically assists in correctly orientating solar panels and
the scaling of panels and batteries.

Network Management Software
The Web based administration software, although extremely simple to use, provides a method of remotely monitoring and managing your network performance, optimisation and security.
The software also provides a geographical view of your mobile
network along with locations of end devices and users.
Asset Tracking and Management
To keep track of your Mobile Wireless System units, each trailer
will report it’s GPS location via any available network option anyware in the world. Each unit can be located and configured with
an geographical electronic fence (Geo-fence) that will raise an
alarm if the asset is moved outside a defined area.
Cost Saving Installation
Labour time on a Mine-site can be extremely expensive and often require a large number of people to
minimise OH&S risks. The Romteck mobile unit removes many of these issues with a trailer type system that can potentially be deployed by a single person.
No Permits Needed.
No “Working from Heights” permit — Due to extendable antenna system.
No Hot work permits — Nothing to solder, wield etc.
Radio frequencies used are all licence free.

Secure lockable enclosure utilises standard padlock.
Solar charged batteries will run for several days without sunlight and can be scaled to suit environment.
