EDU571 –COMBINED STORYBOARD AND SCRIPT
The intent on this video is to walk my students through the rock cycle for a better
understanding of how rocks can change. I have already finished filming and started the
editing process. To complete this video I will be finishing up on the editing, and then
working on an appropriate way to upload the video to my website.

The rock cycle is a group
of changes. A cycle is a
circle of events.

“We begin with igneous
rock. It forms when
magma cools. Magma is a
hot liquid made of melted
minerals.
On Earth’s surface wind
and water can break rock
into peieces. They can also
carry it to other places.
This is called weather and
erosion.

showing magma cooling, igneous rock
going through erosion and turning into
sediment.
Text appears crossing the page, “Wind
and water break down the igneous to
sediments.”

Erosion creates sediments.
Sediments become
cemented together over a
period of time forming
sedimentary rock
All rock can be heated. The
inside of Earth has heated
created from pressure.
This sort of heat bakes the
rock. It doesn’t melt, but it
does change into crystals.
This change in the rocks
makes it a metamorphic
rock.
The very same heat that
created it can cause it to
return to the magma state.
