Thursday
Compare and contrast Sumerian
civilization with modern society in the
United States.
Review Early Humans, the Neolithic
Revolution, and Mesopotamia.
Take the Chapter 1 Test.
Preview the areas we’ll learn about in
the Spread of Civilizations.

On Your Own, Please:
Read Chapter 1, Lesson 3:
Mesopotamia.
Catch up on your Chapter 1 foldable
notes.
You have learned that Sumer
possessed the six major
characteristics of civilization. For
homework, choose one of these
six characteristics and write a
one-page essay or create a chart
in which you compare and
contrast that aspect of Sumerian
civilization with the
corresponding aspect of modern
society in the United States.
Study for tomorrow’s Chapter 1 Test.
