Module 4
1. The Pythagorean theorem can be used to solve for
any side of a right triangle when given the other two
sides.
2. There are six trigonometry ratios: sine, cosine,
tangent, cosecant, secant, and cotangent.
3. There are two special types of right triangles: 4545-90 and 30-60-90.
The names of these triangles represent the angle
measures.
They are special because you only need to know the
length of one of the sides to find the lengths of the
other two sides.
4. The trigonometric ratios sine, cosine and tangent
have reciprocal ratios: cosecant, secant, and
cotangent.
5. Find angle measures and triangle side lengths by
using the sin, cos, tan, csc, sec and cot ratios.
