Advanced medical imaging can make all the difference to
your condition. Barton’s Medical Imaging offers state-of
the-art medical imaging equipment. From a variety of
medical imaging services to our reliable and experienced
staff, Barton features the area’s best medical imaging
option with the newest trends and latest technology.
Angiogram
This X-Ray exam of the arteries and veins to diagnose
blockages, narrowing of the blood vessel and other
blood vessel problems. In many cases, our Radiologist
can treat a blocked blood vessel without surgery at the
same time the Angiogram is preformed.
Balloon Kyphoplasty
Balloon Kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive treatment
that can repair Vertebral Compression Fractures caused
by osteoporosis, cancer or benign lesions. High pressure
balloons are used to elevate the bone fragments of the
fractured vertebra and return them to correct position.
The procedure (under local or general anesthesia)
typically takes less than an hour and may require
an overnight hospital stay. Procedures may correct
deformity or restore body height.
Central Venous Catheter
A catheter is a tube that is inserted into a large vein. This
procedure is considered when a patient needs frequent
or continuous injections of medications or fluids for
nutritional support. Some treatments options using this
procedure are for long-term IV antibiotics, long-term
pain medications, long-term IV nutrition,
and frequent blood draws.
Endovenous Laser Ablation (Varicose Vein
Treatment)
This out-patient procedure seals the refluxing
saphenous vein in your leg. Faulty valves within the
saphenous vein cause reverse flow of blood in your
leg veins, causing leg swelling, pain and/or varicose
veins. Procedures may require a follow-up visit with a
sclerosing medicine to seal the veins shut. The risk of
recurrent varicose veins is less than 3%.

Services
Meet our Radiologists
Our Radiologists and staff are among the most elite
in their field. They are all certified by the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and
California Certified Radiologic Technologists (CRT).
They are also credentialed by the American College
of Radiology (ACR) in MRI and Mammography and
are fellowship trained.

Advanced Technology
Pain Management
Our Radiologists offer Pain Management for chronic
back and joint pain. Epidural and joint injections
can provide area specific pain relief for chronic
conditions.
Segmental Pressure Testing
This screening tool allows the Radiologist to
examine the arterial flow patterns to the legs that
will aid in the diagnosis of leg pain and peripheral
artery disease.
Breast Biopsy
This biopsy is used to take tiny samples of breast
tissue that can be studied under a microscope.
During this procedure, an x-tray helps find the
tissue to be removed. Also offered are sterotactic
and ultrasound guided breast biopsies.
Ultrasound - Abdominal
An abdominal ultrasound is a noninvasive imaging
procedure used to examine organs in the abdomen
including the gallbladder, kidneys, spleen, liver,
pancreas and other abdominal organs
Ultrasound - Pelvic
A pelvic ultrasound (or sonogram) is an imaging
procedure used to examine organs in the pelvis
including the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix
and bladder.
Upper Gastrointestinal (Upper GI)
A series of X-rays examine the esophagus, stomach
and the small part of the intestine. This test can
detect abnormalities in your upper digestive tract.
Uterine Fibroid Embolization
This procedure is a non-surgical way of treating
fibroid tumors of the uterus. These non-cancerous
masses may cause heavy menstrual bleeding, pain
in the pelvic region, or pressure on the bowel or
bladder.
Medical Shields
Our advanced Medical Imaging services offer patient
CT shields for the chest, eye and thyroid areas. Medical
shields reduce harmful radiation exposure by up to
57 percent and do not sacrifice the quality of the
resulting images.
Computed Tomography (CT Scan)
Computed Tomography, sometimes called a CAT Scan,
uses special x-ray equipment to obtain many images
from different angles around the body which shows
several types of tissue – lung, bone, soft tissue and
blood vessels, with great clarity.
CT Heart Scan
Our 64-slice CT Scanner can help your doctor evaluate
your risk of coronary disease in just minutes. There are
no treadmills or fasting. IV dye is given to evaluate and
identify problems, such as narrowing of the arteries.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Barton’s Achieva 1.5 Magnetic Resonance Imaging
(MRI) is a non-invasive, painless procedure in which
radio waves and powerful magnets linked to a
computer, can create detailed pictures of internal
organs and tissues. These pictures show the difference
between normal and diseased tissue and can help
diagnose many conditions in all parts of the body
including cancer, heart and vascular disease, stroke,
and joint and musculoskeletal disorders.
Digital Mammograms
Barton’s Mammography offers a softer mammogram
with soft pads that create a more comfortable,
warmer experience for your mammograms. The softer
mammogram technology has shown a reduction in
discomfort for 70% of its users.
Nuclear Medicine Scanner
A diagnostic tool to evaluate organ function and
locate disease, tumors, infection and other disorders.
