Description
Gather client requirements, use project Management principles to develop a plan, monitor and control in the building ofa
small Relational Database Management system in Access 2010. This database will contain a minimal of two tables, and
also use queries, forms reports and Macros to produce a database management system that meets client business
requirements.
Objectives
1. Use project management techniques to gather information to determine client requirements for building a Database
Management System (DBMS)
2. Use project Management s/w to develop project plan to build of a small DBMS
3. Follow the Project plan to monitor, control a project
4 Build a Database Management System using MS Access
5 Use MS Access database objects, Queries forms, reports and Macros to resolve database performance issues
Assessment Guidelines
Students must pass each assessment task as outlined to obtain a pass in this a Unit of Study
If all assessment tasks are not passed, a final grade of U [ungraded fail] will be given.
Students can re-sit each assessment task once only.
The grade for an assessment re-sit will be a maximum of 50% only for that task.
The final grade for this unit of study will be calculated using the weighting shown below.
