JAVA RUNTIME ENVIRONMENT (JRE) DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLATION
JRE (Java Runtime Environment) is required to run Java applications and applets. It can
be downloaded from:
1. Trade Portal Download page
2. Java/Oracle Official Website

Download from Trade Portal Download Page
2.1.1 From Trade Portal Downloads Page at Software section, select the software
appropriate on your computer’s Operating System then click on its hyperlink.
2.1.2 Opening JRE window will be displayed, click on “Save File” to start downloading.

2.1.3 Locate the downloaded file and open by double clicking on it. This will initiate the
installation process.

2.1.5 The image below is displayed when JRE is successfully installed to your computer.
Click on “Close” button to exit the Java set-up window.
2.1.6 Go to computer control panel, and click on “Programs” to see the Java application
is installed.

Download from Java/Oracle Official Website
2.2.1 Open your internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox); enter
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html in your
browser’s address bar as shown below:
2.2.2 Java SE Runtime Environment Download page will be displayed. Tick on “Accept
License Agreement”.
2.2.3 Notification message will be displayed that user can start downloading the
software.

2.2.4 Select the installation type (Online or Offline Installation) to be executed then click
on its hyperlink.

2.2.5 Opening JRE window will be displayed, click on “Save File” to start downloading.
2.2.6 Follow the steps in 2.1.3 up to 2.1.6 to complete the downloading and installation
processes.
