Honors Geometry Names Section 3-1 Summative Assignment Directions: 1. With your partner, design a map for a city or town. Use a ruler to draw the streets. 2. Your map must be designed so that you can label one of each type of angle pair: vertical angles, supplementary angles (must be adjacent), congruent alternate interior angles, congruent alternate exterior angles, congruent corresponding angles, supplementary same-side interior angles, and supplementary same-side exterior angles. Include only one intersection in which the streets are perpendicular. 3. Name your city or town and all of its streets. Include at least 5 landmarks such as a city or town hall, a library, a park, a school, a shopping center, etc. 4. Use a protractor to measure your angle pairs. Label each angle with its measure to show whether each pair is congruent or supplementary. Include a key that clearly indicates each angle pair. 5. Use the table below to evaluate your work before turning it in. Requirement Points Possible Vertical angles labeled and measured correctly 2 Adjacent supplementary angles labeled and measured correctly Alternate interior angles labeled and measured correctly 2 Alternate exterior angles labeled and measured correctly 2 Corresponding angles labeled and measured correctly 2 Same-side interior angles labeled and measured correctly 2 Same-side exterior angles labeled and measured correctly 2 Streets are perpendicular at only one intersection 2 Streets and 5 landmarks are labeled 2 Neatness/Spelling – ruler and protractor were used – no spelling errors 2 Total 2 20 Points you think you earned Points Awarded
