Becoming a computer games developer can lead to a fascinating career creating all types
of games for PCs, consoles, the internet and even mobile phones.
For a new, large budget game there might be over 100 developers working together to try
and produce a major hit. The developers work in small teams with each team responsible
for a particular aspect of the game design and development.
Think about some of the things that the teams of developers will need to do in order to
produce a top quality game.
Some suggestions:

A designer will write the storyline and decide how the game will look and play

An artist will hand draw the characters, the landscapes, armour, buildings, monsters
etc

Other artists might draw the storyboards to represent how the game will progress

An animator will use modelling and animation software to turn the hand drawn images
into computer models that will work in the game

A programmer will create the code that makes the game work

Other programmers might work on creating artificial intelligence that will work within
the game

Audio or sound engineers create sound effects, character voice-overs and music for the
games

A team of testers will check the playability of the game and look for programming bugs

A project manager will oversee the whole process and make sure everyone is working
together and meeting deadlines
